In October, my wife and I took a trip to Black Mountain, North Carolina. While we there, we discovered the Dripolator, a local coffee shop that sells Larry’s Beans. I bought a pound, took it home, and fell in love. Soon after, I gave Larry’s Beans a call and talked to Kyley, one of their marketing folks. I told her about my passion for fair trade and my blog, and asked her if there was a way we could partner. She suggested a product giveaway, and here we are.

I suppose this is the first of my series of reviews of web apps for non-profits, though I guess I’ve posted comments about several already. Forgive me if the first few are a little rough around the edges. And to the PR or development teams of these apps: please comment if I’ve missed something or misrepresented something about your app.
Anyway, the purpose of these reviews is to tell you about apps I either use or like and how they could apply to non-profits. They’re not meant to be comprehensive by any means (leave that to the tech blogs), but are more meant to give non-profits ideas of how to use cutting edge technology to make their work easier.
Today’s review is about FreshBooks. I just posted a brief comment about FreshBooks the other day and how their customer support rocks. Today I’d like to dig a little deeper into what FreshBooks is and why it could be useful for non-profits.
